First Year Major Information
You are required to select a major. Please review all majors available at our Majors Page. Some majors have concentrations or emphases that will focus the major's area of study. Unless required, you will choose your emphasis after enrollment with your academic advisor. Use the drop-down menu to either view by academic school or to view all majors that are available via the Count Me In program.

If you are unsure about your major, we have four undeclared options you may select.  One in each school and an overall Undeclared/Undecided option. Students can work with their academic advisor to declare a major after they have enrolled at UC Merced.





First Year Conditions of Participation
By submitting this form, you confirm that you are the student whose information displays at the top of this form, that you understand and agree to the above conditions of participation, that your major choice is correct (you will not be allowed to update your major during the application process), and that you understand that you are submitting your participation to the Count Me In program.

The final step will display only after your submission is received and will display a confirmation message. You will have the option to receive an email confirmation of your submission and verify that your participation in the Count Me In program was received.
